Collias and Avignon

We've been in no danger of starving.  Lunch at Alpha B in Collias, a village on the Gardon River.

Church of St. Martha in Tarascon.  We were just driving around, looking at various towns and came across this magnificent church.  Across the street, the Tarascon Castle, circa 1430, on the Rhone (photo below).  To say it is huge is an understatement.

Glenn hanging out on the ramparts (Rhone directly below) with some other Duke's castle across the River on the hill.

St. Catherine.  Looking down from the walls of the Palais des Papes in Avignon.  We were on our way to see an exhibition of the works of Kiki Smith, Louise Bourgeois and Camille Claudel and saw these magnificent pieces in the Palace, home to several Popes during the 14th century.

Street life in Avignon.  Stopping for a coffee and some excellent people watching.

An afternoon in Avignon.
