Vendange

Grenache Vineyard
We started the day at 8:30 in the morning where it was chilly under a very clear blue sky. This was the first of two vineyards and alas, the wild boars or sangliers had eaten a large percentage of the fruit. We finished picking here around 10:30 and moved to another grenache plot, where the grapes were in better shape.
Michel Berberian
We finished picking there around 1:30 and then had lunch. Our landlord, Michel Berberian, was part of the picking crew. Although wine is plentiful around the table, beer also tastes very good after working in the sun.
